Hi, I’m Rebecca Solodovnik and I’m listening….

I am the founder of mindfree me and I am interested in your story. I enjoy helping people gain insight into what’s troubling them and exploring solutions to their issues.  The goal is to empower you and get you back into the driver’s seat of your life.  In addition to my 20+ years of working with people, I am certified in anger management, crisis intervention, and trained in EMDR, IFS, EFT, ACT, and mindfulness based CBT. I have been on the other side of the therapeutic relationship and understand the emotional work it takes to get better. I will be with you during this journey.

Rebecca holds a Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling from New York University. Rebecca’s first career was as a Vice President of Human Resources in the corporate space where she worked with employees to develop their communication skills, effectively mediate conflict, develop wellness techniques to combat stress and assisted employees in identifying their strengths and passions in order to succeed in internal career pivots and sometimes external career changes.

Rebecca was born in the USSR and came to the United States with her family in 1979.  Her own experiences with chronic illness, family dynamics, personal relationships, trauma, body image, disordered eating, career change and other difficult situations has helped inform her practice.  She lives and works in Manhattan, is divorced and re-married, enjoys nature, exploring NYC on foot, watching (and quoting) movies, spending time with animals, specifically her two cats who behave like dogs, and starting her day off with gratitude.
